Get Paid to Whiten Your Teeth!

Our smile is one of the first things people notice about us, but when we aren’t confident about our teeth, it takes a toll on us. All of us are conscious of our appearance, including our teeth, so making sure they are bright, white and healthy should be a priority. Did you know that teeth whitening does more than just make our smiles sparkle? It makes us look younger too.

Why Are My Teeth Yellow?

Teeth discoloration can happen for many reasons. As we age, our teeth are subject to the daily abuse of harsh foods and drinks, poor dental hygiene, aging, and a host of other damaging factors. While some of these causes can be avoided, our teeth will still pick up some stains along the way, even with regular dental checkups.

What Are the Benefits?

Teeth whitening has shown to boost confidence and self-esteem – the way you feel about yourself plays a huge role in how we approach the world. Feeling good about the way we look and being able to smile confidently will make you a happier person. A whiter smile portrays you as a self-assuredly, healthy, and happy person – and those around you will notice.

Is Teeth Whitening Safe?

Teeth whitening is a quick in-office, or at home treatment that is completely safe. Teeth whitening has often had people speculating that it damages teeth, but this is 100% false. People were concerned that teeth whitening would damage their enamel leading to hot and cold sensitivities but, rest assured, that is not the case. Teeth whitening doesn’t break the bank; it is a low-cost procedure with great results.

Does Teeth Whitening Pay?

Yes. A recent report concluded that whiter teeth could lead to greater success in work and love. ‘According to the three-part study, which included simulated job interviews, simulated first dates and a quantitative online survey; more than half of the study participants were more likely to be hired (58%) and received larger salary offers (53%) after their teeth had been whitened.’ Participants were also asked about the importance of personal appearance, agreeing their appearance is an indicator of:

  • Professional success (68%)
  • Financial success (64%)
  • Trustworthiness (52%)

How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

It seems like whitening your teeth should be a priority, especially when it can help you secure a better salary. Still not convinced, or worried about the procedure? No need to be at all, an in-office experience is quick. Once comfortable in the chair, a gel is applied to your gums to protect them, or a rubber shield. Next, the bleach solution is applied and timed. This requires only one visit, and maximum results are achieved within a few days.

If you feel more comfortable with a gradual whiten, your dentist can make custom trays, fitted to your teeth. You will have the whitening solution that you apply to the teeth tray, and wear for 15-30mins or overnight depending on the strength of the bleach.

The first few days after bleaching, avoid foods such as red wine, coffee, tea and other highly pigmented foods. For upkeep, use a whitening toothpaste. Of course, regular brushing and flossing will do the trick as well. The last thing for you to do is to call and book your teeth whitening appointment and gain some extra confidence.
