Is Microdermabrasion right for me?
Microdermabrasion is popular among patients who exhibit the following conditions, mild sun damage, fine wrinkles, poor skin texture, hyperpigmentation, acne or scares
How does Microdermabrasion Work?
The procedure stimulates skin cell turnover by gently scraping away the outermost layer of skin using a special diamond tip. Your body’s natural healing process works to bring fresh, more attractive skin to the surface. Other methods of skin rejuvenation work in a similar fashion, but few of them are as easy and as comfortable as microdermabrasion. Sometimes a series of treatments is recommended to reduce fine wrinkles and uneven pigmentation. After treatment, you may experience some redness and very mild discomfort, which should resolve after a brief time.
Microdermabrasion is a minor procedure, so patients should be realistic and expect modest improvements. With that in mind, remember that many times a modest improvement in skin tone can significantly enhance your overall appearance.
